Relaxed maternity sessions for expecting mothers, couples and growing families, outdoors or at your home. Natural light, an unhurried pace, and photographs that look like you right now.
This is when the bump is fully round and clearly visible, but before the baby sits lower, so you are still comfortable standing, moving and posing without much effort. Most mums describe this window as the point where they feel most like themselves again.
Sessions can work a little earlier too, from around 26 weeks, as there is more gentle movement and less time on your feet in any one pose. This is general guidance on comfort and timing, not medical advice, so always go with what feels right for you and your midwife.
If you have passed 34 weeks, please do not worry. We still run sessions right up to 37 or 38 weeks. It simply means a more relaxed pace and a slightly shorter session.
Howth, Malahide, Phoenix Park, the Dublin coastline and quiet woodland spots. Natural light and open space, which suits you if you would feel more relaxed moving around than standing still in one place.
If you would prefer to stay somewhere familiar and private, we can photograph the session at your own home using natural window light. A comfortable option, especially later in the pregnancy.
Partners are part of every session and we always take some portraits together. If you have older children who want to join, bring them along. Some of the loveliest images are of a toddler touching the bump.
We guide you on this beforehand. Flowing dresses, fitted fabrics and soft wraps tend to work well, and nothing too busy or heavily patterned. Traditional or Indian outfits photograph beautifully too. Bring a second outfit if you would like a change of look.
If we have booked outdoors and the weather is against us, we move to your home or reschedule, with no charge to move the date. It happens often here and we always have a plan for it.
There is no rush. We take breaks, try a few different setups, and spend time on what works for you. If you feel you have plenty at 45 minutes, that is fine, and if you would like a little longer we keep going.
Every image below is from a real session.
I get that not everyone feels great about being photographed at this stage. A lot of the mums I work with tell me beforehand that they're not sure this is for them — and then by the end of the session, they're glad they came.
There's no pressure during the session. We start slow, I show you a few images early on so you can see what we're working with, and we build from there. Most people relax about 20 minutes in.
The images are for you and your family — nobody else unless you decide to share them. My job is to give you something you'll actually want to look at, not a portfolio piece for me.

Ideally around 20–25 weeks. The session itself happens at 28–34 weeks, but popular dates fill up quickly, especially weekends. If you're already in your third trimester and haven't booked, still get in touch — we'll see what we can do.
Yes, partners are included in every maternity session at no extra cost. We always spend time on portraits together — it's not something you have to add on. If your partner is nervous in front of a camera, that's completely normal and we'll work through it at the start.
For outdoor sessions, if the weather makes it impossible we reschedule, or move the session to your home, with no charge either way. We check the forecast the day before and agree what makes most sense. A session at home is not affected by the weather at all.
Yes. We do a lot of sessions where families want a mix — some natural outdoor portraits alongside more traditional-style portraits where you might wear a saree or suit. If you have a specific look in mind, mention it when you get in touch and we'll make sure the session reflects what you actually want.
The number of hand-edited images depends on your package: 15 (Essential), 25 (Classic), 15 to 20 with a highlight reel (Signature), or up to 30 with a cinematic highlight film and a framed print (Gold). Every image is individually hand-retouched, never batch processed. You receive them in a private online gallery and can download everything at full resolution. Additional edited images can be purchased after delivery.
Completely up to you. Some families do both, some only do one, and a maternity session stands entirely on its own. If you are also thinking about a newborn session, it is worth planning them together so the timing works around your due date. Newborn sessions are led by Pravalika in our dedicated newborn home-studio. Just mention it when you get in touch.
Every package includes one outdoor location in Dublin, or your own home. Travel outside Dublin is quoted separately (Kildare, Meath and Wicklow +€40; other counties +€60).
Beautiful, natural bump portraits at an outdoor Dublin location.

A slightly smaller photo set than Classic, with a short highlight reel of your session added.
Our most complete maternity package: photographs, a cinematic highlight film, and a framed print for your wall.
All packages include your partner and children at no extra cost. A highlight reel can be added to Essential or Classic for €100. Travel outside Dublin is quoted separately. Additional edited images can be purchased after delivery.
